Harness Blessing
Harness Horse Blessing with the Dyfed Carriage Club.
The Dyfed Carriage Club will be holding its first harness horse blessing at Picton Castle on Sunday 10th April 2011. This is the first of it’s kind in Wales, but recreates the traditional service of blessing the carriage horse at the start of the driving season.
Members from the Dyfed Carriage Club will be in attendance with a variety of horses and carriages, from small Shetland ponies to the larger horses. They will gather in front of the main castle at 12.00 noon for the short service and judging of best turnout and award of prizes by the High Sheriff of Dyfed, this will then be followed by a short park drive around the estate.
