Rosemary Cripps Small Gallery Event
Rosemary works from her own studio facilities in Wales, making all her sculptures by hand and firing them herself. She trained as both a traditional figurative sculptor and as a ceramicist. Taking the human figure as her inspiration, she makes both glazed and unglazed work and uses surface textures and printing on the clay to create a variety of finishes. Her sculptures, all hand-made, include both individual sculptures and limited editions. She makes (on commission) large scale garden sculptures and traditional portrait busts.
Rosemary has also developed a range of glazes and firing techniques to complement her sculptural forms and add additional colour and interest to her work. In addition to her creative work Rosemary has run residential courses and lectured at Stafford College and Wolverhampton University.
Exhibiting from 1st August to 28th September 2011
