Schools Open Art Competition
Schools Open Art Competition Gallery Event
Wed 1st June to Thursday 30th June
This year’s schools art competition at Picton Castle promises to produce some fantastically inventive works by creative young minds. The theme of ‘The River Cleddau’ was chosen to give youngsters a broad brief – whether they choose to recycle old junk or, indeed, old masters is entirely up to them. The prize of up to £150 for the winning school and a prize for each winning individual (there are three age groups – under 7s, 7-11s and 11-18) makes this a popular annual event that schools have supported wholeheartedly. Youngsters love it too. There’s many a proud young artist who has been struck by how impressive their works look when hung in the spacious, light drenched Picton Gallery. Come along and see where young imaginations went with ‘The River Cleddau’ – we think you’ll be impressed!
Supported by WWDFAS Young Artists Programme and Emrys Art Supplies of Haverfordwest
