Based in the heritage centre classroom and gardens.
The workshop costs £40 per person including entry to Picton Castle Gardens and the Welsh Owl Garden & Zoo. For an additional £10 all materials will be provided on the day.
Refreshments will be provided but please bring your own lunch or you can pre-order from our restaurant on the day.
Renowned local artist Tom Shepherd will guide you in a landscape painting workshop using watercolours. There will be an introduction and demo, followed by guided painting with plenty of one on one instruction. The focus will be on painting local landscapes, with explanation on how to use paint consistency and the watercolour process. Photographs of Picton’s wonderful gardens will be provided, as well as the chance to get out into the gardens to paint. Or students can bring their own photograph to work from, be it a coastal scene, countryside landscape, harbour scene, garden, etc.
