The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club: Display of Cars

Castle Forecourt

12.00 midday  – 4.00pm

The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club, (RREC), is a club for Rolls-Royce and Bentley enthusiasts. Rolls had a showroom in London and Royce made the Royce car in Manchester. Following a meeting between the two gentlemen, the company of Rolls-Royce was formed. Rolls-Royce purchased Bentley Motors in 1931 when the company went into liquidation. The two makes were then manufactured by Rolls-Royce who made the Bentley a sportier owner driver car and the Rolls-Royce, usually a chauffeur driven car.

The cars on display at the castle today are in Wales for the annual Welsh Weekend Rally and members of the RREC have travelled many miles to West Wales. Today you will have a rare opportunity to see varying models from the 1920’s to the present time.
