Picton Castle and Gardens

December at Picton Castle Gardens

The festive season is here! After the huge success of the Christmas Fair, we are looking forward to a relaxing month here at Picton. The castle is decorated beautifully and the wintery gardens are still as inviting as ever. There is no better way to spend a cold frosty day than wandering around the gardens then stopping at Marias for some delicious coffee and cake! If you are here on a Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday, the castle is open from 12pm-3pm for visitors to warm themselves in front of the roaring log fire next to our huge Great Hall tree!

Our team have worked very hard this year to make the castle look amazing! The theme is ‘Oppulent Nature’, with a focus on bringing the outdoors in. We wanted to use as much foliage from our gardens as possible to adorn the castle’s rooms, and add a luxuriously festive touch to make it come to life. Each room has been decorated individually by our in house florist Elsa to emphasize its style and colour, and we think you’ll agree the castle looks absolutely stunning.

If you feel inspired to turn your own home into a festive wonderland, why not come along to our wreathmaking course on Saturday 10th December? Our florist Elsa will be on hand to guide you in making your own wreath in whatever style you wish. Follow the link below for more details.
